I am starting to believe that men will always want the "mother" figure. They seen to want to be cuddled, praised, their hurts kissed away, and their favorite toys given to them. So why do we continue to want these creatures in our lives?? Could it be the romance that we are looking for??
I believed that after 50, men would start to focus a little on me. Like what I think and feel about things. But, I am finding that men still want that sexy woman who spent hours looking good but makes you think it only took fifteen minutes to achieve the "look" for him.
They call you darlin and princess and tell you it is all about you but still cannot find find time for you. Heaven forbid that you should interrupt their schedule. Don't men know that love and laughter is so precious and time can be so short. When will men realize our worth??
From my own experience, I think I am finding that the better I am to a man the more he wants something else. And the ones that I treat the worst are the ones that won't leave.
And what is up with the man who pursues you constantly and makes you feel as if you may have found that one man who understands you. And then, he can write you the best blow off letter ever?????? Isn't this the behavior of a teenage boy and not a mature man???? What are women supposed to think???? It is no wonder we build walls around ourselves and don't want to trust a man.
Fellows, what are you looking for?? Do you know?? If you want a friend with benefits or a special partner let us now. And probably the saddest thing about it is, that we will change our plans for you.

I agree with you that most men don't know what they want, but women are hard to read too. I meet this woman who rocked my world. She was everything I wanted, funny, bright, sexy, intelligent and just great to talk to. At one point I thought I was in love with her. But like you said that the ones you don't want, won't go away and end up becoming "just friends". Then you get that speech, "if we have sex we might not could be friends", well it's difficult to be friends with a woman that when you kiss her you want to be much more than friends. So what do you do, hang around watching her fall in love with other guys? I guess only an idiot or someone in love would do that. Sometimes it's hard to see what's standing in front of you wanting to be part of your world. So what would you suggest a guy in that situation do? Walk away? Never see her again? Give up on something he thought was the best part of his life. A woman who put the sunshine his world.
What would Roy do? Get on Trigger and ride off into the sunset? Probably the best thing to do.
Women do often find it hard to see what is in front of their face. A woman wants to be wooed and romanced. Or at least that is what she believes to be the perfect guy. Someone told me today that when two people meet they are both running toward the wall and when they reach it together then sparks fly, but if one of them reaches it before the other then usually it becomes a sad situation for one of them. So, maybe your friend just didn't finish the race at the same time you seem to have done. Be sad though to lose a friendship. Those are so often hard to come by.
I guess too often a man thinks he's running toward that wall with someone but when he reaches it, he's alone and just goes splat. Have you ever hit the wall alone? You're right good friends are hard to find. A good woman/cowgirl is very difficult to find. So maybe when you find someone you connect with on so many levels, you want so much to be "in" love with that person. You want it all and don't want to settle for less. It's hard to back off, smell the roses and smile because there's a little sunshine in your life every morning. Thanks for the advice.
